Description

  • Conduct 1:1 coaching meetings and hold 4-6 hours of office hours each week for learners.
  • Provide weekly asynchronous updates to the professional development team and participate in bi-weekly pod meetings.
  • Track learner engagement, coaching notes, and job search progress throughout the program.
  • Update each learner’s job search status on a monthly basis.
  • Respond to Slack and email communications within 24 hours.
  • Review and provide feedback on learner resume and LinkedIn profile exercises using standardized rubrics.
  • Support learners with professional development guidance and career advising throughout the program.
  • Collaborate with Teaching Assistants and program operations staff to improve learner outcomes.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4-year college degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of professional experience, ideally in career development, coaching, professional counseling, or related program management focused on job seekers.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Experience building trusting relationships and providing guidance to adult learners and/or job seekers.
  • Experience delivering career coaching in an entirely remote format.
  • Strong local job-market knowledge in cities such as Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide.
  • Understanding of Australia’s vocational pathways, including TAFE/VET.
  • Familiarity with local hiring norms, job search channels such as Seek and LinkedIn, and skills-based hiring trends in tech.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace and Slack.
  • Experience in university career services, TAFE/workforce programs, tech bootcamps, or technical recruiting is a plus.
