Description

  • Answer inbound calls and emails from the mortgage industry and the public about FHA guidelines, procedures, and client requests.
  • Research and locate accurate answers using knowledge databases, multiple computer systems, and search tools.
  • Follow standard operating procedures across topics, systems, and contact channels to ensure consistent service.
  • Document all contacts, case notes, and outcomes in the client database.
  • Keep up to date on FHA mortgage processes, policy changes, and procedures.
  • Provide excellent customer service and escalate complex or policy-related issues as needed.
  • Support omnichannel contact center operations (phone, email, and other contact channels) and maintain time management and dependability.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least two years working with FHA loans (e.g., loan originator, loan processor, junior underwriter, loan officer) plus an additional year of customer service or contact center experience, OR at least three years of loan origination working with conventional loans and/or other government-backed loans (FHA, USDA, VA).
  • Capability to navigate multiple computer systems and applications and utilize search tools to provide information to clients.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and proven dependability.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance (includes credit check and background investigation).
  • Contact center (omnichannel) experience is preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English (verbal and written) is preferred.
  • Prior FHA knowledge/experience is preferred.
