Description

  • Provide excellent customer service by answering inbound calls and emails from the mortgage lending industry and the public about FHA guidelines and procedures.
  • Research and locate answers using a knowledge database and multiple internal systems to acknowledge and resolve client requests.
  • Follow standard operating procedures across topics, systems, and contact channels (omnichannel) when handling inquiries.
  • Document all client contacts and case details in the designated database accurately and timely.
  • Stay current on FHA mortgage processes, procedures, and guideline updates to ensure accurate responses.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to escalate complex issues and improve support workflows.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 2 years working with FHA loans (e.g., loan originator, loan processor, junior underwriter, loan officer) plus an additional year of customer service or contact center experience; OR at least 3 years of loan origination working with conventional and/or government-backed loans (FHA, USDA, VA).
  • Capability to navigate multiple computer systems and applications and utilize search tools to provide information to clients.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and dependability.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security clearance (includes credit check and background investigation).
  • Contact center (omnichannel) experience (preferred).
  • Bilingual Spanish/English, verbal and written (preferred).
  • Existing FHA knowledge/experience (preferred).
