Description

  • Provide pre-sales technical support and colocation/networking expertise to sales, prospects, customers, and partners across Cologix’s North American platform.
  • Architect creative, complex colocation, IT, cloud, and networking solutions and translate customer requirements into deployable technical designs.
  • Educate and present Cologix’s value proposition and technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Assess customer operations, identify design flaws, refine ambiguous needs into specific deliverable requirements, and uncover hidden or unrealized customer requirements.
  • Lead deep technical discussions and conduct on-site customer meetings; travel primarily within the Eastern U.S. and to other markets as needed.
  • Support all Cologix product lines and maintain broad knowledge of servers, networking, storage, AI system architecture, telecom cabling standards, and critical facility systems (electrical/generation and mechanical).
  • Respond to RFPs/RFIs/RFQs, develop and deliver technical proposals, and support opportunity closure.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to the sales team and collaborate with cross-functional teams to gain alignment and drive implementation of solutions.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of technical experience; experience with colocation, hosting, cloud companies, operations, or technical sales preferred.
  • Proven solution-selling capabilities with experience in proposal development and proactive customer communication.
  • Detailed knowledge of colocation technologies, data center telecom cabling standards, critical facilities (electrical/generation and mechanical systems), and lower OSI layers.
  • Broad knowledge of internet technologies including servers, networking equipment, storage design, and AI systems/AI system architecture.
  • Experience interpreting and responding to RFP/RFI/RFQ formats and analyzing complex project documents.
  • Strong presentation, communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills to engage technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to manage high activity levels, work independently and with cross-functional teams, and travel as required (primarily Eastern U.S.).
  • Preferred certifications: CDCP, CDFOS, CNCDP or equivalent; CCNA/CCNP Cloud or equivalent; AWS, Google, or Microsoft cloud certification or equivalent.
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; Cologix cannot sponsor or transfer employment visas (including CPT/OPT).
