Description

  • Support the Office of the VP of Technology Engineering & Innovation in evaluating and developing future AI infrastructure strategies.
  • Analyze AI workload characteristics and their impact on resiliency, scalability, efficiency, and operational design.
  • Evaluate current and future AI compute platforms, including GPU architectures, ARM-based platforms, custom accelerators, ASICs, and optical networking technologies.
  • Model AI rack power density trends and assess implications for electrical, mechanical, space planning, and development standards.
  • Support conceptual and detailed design efforts for AI-ready data center infrastructure.
  • Develop long-term infrastructure roadmaps for high-density deployments, liquid cooling adoption, modular infrastructure, and AI campus development.
  • Collaborate with engineering, development, construction, operations, energy strategy, procurement, utilities, and external consultants on AI infrastructure initiatives.
  • Assess utility constraints, interconnection requirements, grid limitations, power quality, resiliency, and distributed energy solutions.
  • Analyze current and emerging cooling technologies, including air cooling, direct-to-chip liquid cooling, immersion cooling, and hybrid architectures.
  • Interface with vendors, OEMs, utilities, and partners to lead technical assessments, proof-of-concepts, benchmarking, and executive recommendations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Center Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in data center infrastructure, AI/HPC infrastructure, power systems engineering, cooling technologies, or advanced infrastructure engineering.
  • Strong understanding of emerging AI compute technologies and their infrastructure implications.
  • Ability to analyze complex technical systems and translate findings into actionable engineering and infrastructure strategies.
  • Master's degree and/or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Energy Systems, or a related technical field preferred.
  • Experience with hyperscale or colocation data center environments preferred.
  • Knowledge of GPU infrastructure and AI workload behavior preferred.
  • Familiarity with utility coordination and energy systems preferred.
  • Understanding of high-density cooling technologies preferred.
  • PE license or equivalent advanced technical credentials preferred.
  • Authorization to work for any employer in the U.S. is required; the company cannot sponsor or transfer work visa sponsorship, including CPT/OPT.
