Description

  • Design and develop web applications and software solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Scope requirements and provide reliable estimates to support delivery planning.
  • Write clean, scalable code, including libraries and dependencies, and deploy changes to production.
  • Plan releases, support testing, and use deployment tools across projects.
  • Review code, identify potential defects, and coach contributors on best practices.
  • Provide technical direction, uphold codebase standards, and contribute to technical debt initiatives.
  • Write concise documentation and keep the team knowledge base current.
  • Support QA, product owners, and infrastructure recovery efforts after deployments.
  • Participate in post-mortems, own recovery initiatives, and propose technical improvements and proof-of-concepts.
  • Collaborate with engineers and product managers, answer technical questions, and support junior team members.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of web software development experience across front-end and back-end applications.
  • Experience working in Agile and Scrum delivery environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or relevant professional-level certifications.
  • Familiarity with the blockchain and cryptocurrency ecosystem, with regular use of CoinGecko products.
  • Solid understanding of the software development life cycle and agile methodologies.
  • Deep expertise in at least one programming environment and basic proficiency in at least one additional environment.
  • Proficiency with application performance management and infrastructure platform tools.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships internally and externally.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal supervision, and comfortable in open-ended projects.
  • Strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and web UI/UX sensibilities.
  • Preferred: experience in an early- to growth-stage startup.
  • Preferred: experience building applications in different tech stacks.
  • Preferred: keen interest in decentralized technologies and cryptocurrency applications.
