Description

  • Own the end-to-end PLG funnel for micro customers, from acquisition and signup through onboarding, activation, paywall, expansion, and retention.
  • Define and drive the PLG roadmap, prioritizing experiments and larger bets tied to revenue and retention outcomes.
  • Map, refine, and improve the post-signup journey to increase time-to-first-value and ongoing product usage.
  • Identify and reduce funnel drop-offs across signup, onboarding, activation, upgrade, and expansion using data, research, and experimentation.
  • Set and iterate on “when to human” rules for routing customers to Sales, Customer Success, or staying fully self-serve.
  • Lead a dedicated PLG squad of 2–3 engineers and maintain a fast experiment cadence with tight feedback loops.
  • Build and maintain tracking, analytics, and dashboards for PLG KPIs, including micro revenue, NRR, trial-to-paid, and time-to-first-value.
  • Partner with Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, RevOps, and Data to align PLG with company-wide growth strategy.
  • Feed PLG insights into pricing and packaging, messaging, and acquisition tactics for the micro segment.
  • Champion product-led thinking across R&D and GTM, using the product as the primary lever for growth.

Requirements

  • Commercial product manager with proven PLG wins in B2B SaaS.
  • Experience owning or significantly influencing self-serve or PLG funnels with measurable outcomes such as improved trial-to-paid, NRR, churn, or activation.
  • Strong experimentation mindset with the ability to structure hypotheses, success metrics, and post-mortems.
  • Excellent UX instincts for onboarding and activation, including comfort co-designing flows, in-app prompts, paywalls, and upgrade nudges.
  • Fluency in funnels, cohorts, and A/B testing.
  • Comfort working with product analytics tools and event-based tracking.
  • Ability to define PLG strategy and execute hands-on on details such as paywalls, tests, and signup flows.
  • Pragmatic, bias-to-action approach suited to a high-ownership, fast-moving environment.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, CS, and RevOps.
  • Experience implementing event-based tracking across the customer journey is preferred.
