Description

  • Turn incomplete briefs into agreed outcomes and actionable delivery plans.
  • Build and maintain software and cloud or infrastructure API integrations with reliable handling of credentials, pagination, retries, failures, and repeated execution.
  • Transform billing, usage, and inventory data into reconciled, repeatable outputs with transparent allocation and mapping rules.
  • Extend inventory, network-policy, and capacity automation while preserving necessary human decisions and verifying operational results.
  • Deliver changes through version-controlled code and CI, including safe releases, recovery testing, and rollback readiness.
  • Diagnose failures across application code, Linux, APIs, data, networking, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Own monitoring, actionable alerts, documentation, and ongoing maintenance for systems that other engineers can operate.
  • Use coding agents for engineering work while retaining responsibility for design, code quality, testing, debugging, and outcomes.
  • Coordinate cross-team dependencies, communicate tradeoffs and estimate changes, raise blockers, and confirm completion with users.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of senior-level experience in software, infrastructure, platform, or automation engineering.
  • Strong production Python, software design, testing, debugging, and API integration experience.
  • Hands-on AWS experience with solid Linux and networking fundamentals.
  • Practical SQL and data-validation skills, including joins, units, periods, ownership mappings, and reconciliation.
  • Experience delivering infrastructure safely through IaC and CI, including state, drift, idempotency, dependencies, and rollback; Terraform/OpenTofu and Ansible are relevant tools.
  • Advanced experience using coding agents for real engineering tasks with defined context, permissions, supervision boundaries, testing, and verification.
  • Ability to independently investigate problems, make and explain design decisions, challenge unsafe approaches, and deliver outcomes.
  • English proficiency at B2 or higher for technical discussions, written decisions, and internal customer communication.
  • Preferred experience with cloud billing or FinOps, AWS CUR/FOCUS, Athena, inventory or event-driven integrations, NetBox, network policies, IAM, capacity tooling, Kubernetes, Go, OpenNebula, or self-service systems.
  • Ability to learn unfamiliar technologies and business rules; experience with GitLab CI/CD, Grafana, and related observability tools is beneficial.
