Description

  • Execute a specialized project that directly improves Cloudflare’s security posture.
  • Improve the maturity of the Security Compliance program through compliance-focused initiatives.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of security controls implemented across the organization.
  • Develop and implement automated solutions to improve GRC processes and operations.
  • Integrate automation work with existing security, engineering, and AI tools.
  • Support the security risk register by triaging risks, assessing impact, and proposing mitigation strategies.
  • Present key security insights and findings to leadership.
  • Support Cloudflare’s security data center audits and assessments.
  • Work cross-functionally with Legal, People, Engineering, and Finance teams to embed security into company processes.
  • Present the internship project to the entire company at the end of the program.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of industry-standard frameworks such as NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, or SOC 2 principles through coursework or personal study.
  • Understanding of risk management methodologies, including identifying threats, assessing impact and likelihood, and suggesting mitigation strategies.
  • Ability to write basic Python scripts to automate repetitive tasks such as interacting with APIs or cleaning data.
  • Experience with workflow logic and orchestration in automation platforms.
  • Understanding of how to instruct AI models effectively and use them for day-to-day tasks.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills and a drive to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Curiosity, empathy, and the ability to get things done.
  • Ability to commit to a minimum 12-week summer internship.
  • Ability to work in the London office 3-5 days a week.
  • Bonus points for demonstrated passion for security and software development, such as personal projects, open-source contributions, or prior experience.
