Description

  • Manage, configure, and optimize security tools such as SIEM, EDR, and IDS/IPS to improve detection and alert accuracy.
  • Assess system and application vulnerabilities and help system owners prioritize remediation efforts.
  • Analyze and improve event log generation and collection strategies to support timely threat detection and incident response.
  • Perform advanced threat detection and incident response, including analysis of scope, impact, and root cause.
  • Conduct proactive threat hunting and use threat intelligence to anticipate new attack techniques.
  • Assess security controls against baseline standards and recommend improvements for weak or non-compliant controls.
  • Analyze threat trends and organizational risk, then develop and execute risk mitigation plans.
  • Participate in the design and execution of infrastructure initiatives to ensure alignment with security best practices.
  • Provide information security oversight for technical and non-technical projects to ensure compliance with corporate policies and customer standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in a hands-on cybersecurity role.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a SOC Analyst, Incident Responder, or similar mid- to senior-level threat analysis role.
  • Proficiency with SIEM platforms.
  • Deep understanding of incident response methodologies.
  • Experience performing vulnerability assessments and prioritizing remediation based on risk and available resources.
  • Hands-on experience with EDR solutions.
  • Experience with endpoint and network device security configuration standards such as DISA STIG and CIS Benchmarks.
  • Familiarity with NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) and similar compliance frameworks.
  • CISSP, GSEC, or equivalent information security certification.
  • Knowledge of Windows 11/Server, macOS, Linux, and network management platforms such as Cisco, Palo Alto, and Meraki.
