Description

  • Lead technical initiatives for large-scale data modernization and migration efforts.
  • Define data architectures using Databricks Lakehouse and Microsoft Azure.
  • Assess legacy environments and determine migration, refactoring, or decommissioning strategies for workloads.
  • Design modern data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and workflow orchestration strategies.
  • Establish standards for architecture, data quality, governance, and engineering best practices.
  • Ensure data quality and consistency throughout the migration process.
  • Work closely with architects, Data Engineers, Databricks specialists, and client teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Serve as a technical reference point for the project and mentor other engineers.
  • Contribute to automation and the use of AI to accelerate migration processes.

Requirements

  • Solid experience as a Senior Data Engineer, Data Architect, or in technical leadership roles in Data Engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL Server, including T-SQL, SSIS, Stored Procedures, SQL Agent Jobs, and legacy environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, Delta Lake, and Lakehouse architectures.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, including ADLS Gen2, Azure SQL, AKS, and related services.
  • Experience in data platform migration, modernization, or transformation projects.
  • Knowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and workflow orchestration.
  • Ability to make architectural decisions and act as a technical reference for multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication skills for working with clients and global teams.
  • Advanced English.
  • Experience with Apache Airflow or Databricks Workflows, preferred.
  • Experience migrating SSIS environments at scale, preferred.
  • Knowledge of Oracle, PySpark, Sqoop, or Hadoop ecosystems, preferred.
  • Experience with automated migration tools and AI applied to code conversion, preferred.
  • Databricks, Azure, or Data Engineering certifications, preferred.
  • Must be willing to work from the Campinas metropolitan area offices when required by local attendance policy.
