Description

  • Design and implement a two-tier optimization engine comprising heuristic algorithms for market prioritization and budget allocation across multiple markets.
  • Design and implement Mixed-Integer Programming (MIP) optimization to maximize audience impressions delivery within each market while respecting inventory, pricing, and business constraints.
  • Develop heuristic algorithms for large-scale combinatorial problems and integrate them with MIP solutions.
  • Translate business requirements and domain constraints into mathematical formulations and optimization models.
  • Collaborate closely with the client’s domain experts and non-technical stakeholders throughout the development process to co-develop solutions.
  • Deliver optimization solutions to production, including integration with AWS-based infrastructure and deployment workflows.
  • Work in an agile environment with two-week sprints, participating in iterative development, reviews, and refinements.
  • Balance multiple objectives and constraints within optimization targets and evaluate trade-offs between metrics during model design.

Requirements

  • Fluent English for conversation and technical documentation.
  • Solid experience in Data Science, Operations Research, or Optimization Engineering.
  • Expertise in Mixed-Integer Programming (MIP) and experience with optimization solvers such as Gurobi or CPLEX.
  • Advanced Python programming skills and experience delivering production-grade solutions.
  • Solid experience with AWS (platform usage and deployment); familiarity with AWS Bedrock is a plus.
  • Proven experience designing heuristic algorithms for large-scale combinatorial optimization problems.
  • Experience with multi-objective optimization and translating business requirements into mathematical formulations.
  • Experience collaborating with non-technical stakeholders and working in Agile methodologies (Scrum, 2-week sprints).
  • Nice to have: experience deploying optimization workloads on AWS Lambda, experience in advertising/media planning or marketing optimization, knowledge of media metrics (CPM, GRP, impressions, reach, frequency), parallel computing for scalable optimization, and familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) or integrations with multiple data sources.
  • Based in Colombia with ability to work remote/homeoffice for this role.
