Description

  • Research media outlets and journalists using online research, email outreach, and phone calls.
  • Update Cision’s global media database, with emphasis on major US outlets and senior journalists.
  • Undertake special clean-up projects to improve database quality.
  • Monitor US media industry news to keep database records current and accurate.
  • Write short summaries of recent media changes for the weekly Media Brief newsletter.
  • Manage administrative and communication tasks efficiently.
  • Work independently on large projects to improve database quality.
  • Assist with global research and database updates when required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in media research or the broader media/PR industry.
  • Previous writing and/or editing experience.
  • Ability to multitask and self-organize in a high-volume environment.
  • Excellent computer skills, including MS Office.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong knowledge of the US media landscape and awareness of media industry changes.
  • Ability to work autonomously and pay close attention to detail.
  • Preferred availability and flexibility to support global work when needed.
