Description

  • Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close across all entities and ensure books are accurate, complete, and timely.
  • Maintain the general ledger, including journal entries, accruals, prepaids, FX revaluation, and supporting schedules.
  • Run the close calendar, drive deadlines, and maintain an exceptions queue to resolve missing invoices, reconciliation breaks, and other open items.
  • Keep accounting documentation audit-ready with organized evidence and clear support for material balances and transactions.
  • Own bookkeeping across all entities and maintain consistent policies, coding, and documentation standards.
  • Manage intercompany invoicing, reconciliations, balances, and related-party support across the group.
  • Lead end-to-end crypto transaction accounting across wallets, exchanges/custodians, networks, and tokens.
  • Reconcile crypto balances and maintain strong audit trails using wallet addresses, transaction hashes, and exchange statements.
  • Maintain classification rules and schedules for crypto flows, realized and unrealized gains/losses, and cost basis/lots.
  • Implement finance controls, maintain the compliance calendar, and coordinate with external accountants, auditors, tax providers, and legal counsel.
  • Deliver management-ready reporting, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, variance narratives, burn reporting, and spend insights.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, treasury visibility, and cash reporting across fiat and crypto holdings.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in accounting, controllership, or finance operations with end-to-end ownership of close and reporting.
  • Prior experience in web3/crypto companies, exchanges, or crypto-heavy operations is mandatory.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge at the IFRS/GAAP level relevant to the role.
  • Demonstrated experience with multi-entity accounting across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Crypto-native accounting experience covering wallets, exchanges, reconciliation, audit trails, and crypto-aware controls.
  • Strong documentation discipline and a high-integrity mindset with audit-ready execution.
  • Comfort operating in a lean, high-ownership environment and improving systems while executing them.
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to explain financial issues to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience with Xero is mandatory.
  • Hands-on experience with Cryptio is mandatory.
  • Bookkeeping and compliance experience across one or more of the US, SVG, Panama, or UAE is preferred.
  • Experience supporting audits, due diligence, or fundraising processes is preferred.
  • Familiarity with crypto accounting tools beyond Cryptio or blockchain analytics explorers is preferred.
  • Basic SQL or data proficiency for financial analysis is preferred.
