Description

  • Lead and manage a team of Credentialing Specialists and Operational Analysts to ensure timely, accurate credentialing file processing.
  • Coach, mentor, train, and onboard team members to strengthen credentialing knowledge and regulatory understanding.
  • Oversee daily credentialing operations and ensure compliance with NCQA guidelines, state regulations, and client-specific policies.
  • Run daily standups and weekly performance reviews to align priorities, review results, and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor team performance data on a daily and weekly basis and communicate insights to management, peers, and team members.
  • Partner with Operations Management on performance reviews, ratings, and direct delivery of review conversations to team members.
  • Manage production metrics including SLA performance, turnaround times, quality, speed, and efficiency.
  • Handle escalations, streamline workflows, and coordinate with internal stakeholders to improve operational outcomes.
  • Oversee ongoing monitoring and management of credentialing expirables and ensure the team remains unblocked and productive.
  • Create SOPs, identify process gaps, develop documented improvements, and produce ad hoc reports to support operations.

Requirements

  • Credentialing experience is required.
  • 5+ years of overall professional experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a team management role.
  • Experience leading and managing a team of 5 or more members.
  • Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams and global stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success in client engagement and managing client relationships.
  • Ability to serve as the primary point of contact for client meetings, escalations, and satisfaction management.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience managing in a production environment while driving daily performance metrics.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in credentialing, provider enrollment, or a healthcare compliance setting (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of NCQA guidelines and state/federal regulatory requirements related to credentialing (preferred).
  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel Macros, and related data analysis tools (preferred).
