Description

  • Leverage Catalist data resources (voter files, microtargeting models, synthetic tools) to address client questions and needs.
  • Respond to and fulfill client data requests and translate analytic results into accessible deliverables.
  • Support internal research and development projects by performing analyses and clearly communicating findings.
  • Assist with maintenance and development of the Analytics team’s data architecture and pipelines.
  • Provide quality control to ensure analytics deliverables are accurate and precisely conveyed.
  • Communicate technical topics through presentations, webinars, memo drafts, and technical reference documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with Client Services, Data, and Tech teams to coordinate analytics work and support cross-functional projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Deputy Director of Analytics to support team priorities.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of political campaign, analytics, and/or data experience.
  • Familiarity with Catalist data, voter files, commercial databases, and progressive political needs.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, R, or Python and command line interfaces (CLI).
  • Familiarity with one or more of: data visualization, data engineering, digital media, commercial databases, applications of microtargeting models, polling and survey research, controlled experiments, mapping/GIS software, reporting, or program evaluation.
  • Highly motivated, curious, collaborative, with strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in evolving environments.
  • Background check required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in political science, social/behavioral science, economics, statistics, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience with cloud environments such as Google Cloud Platform and tools like BigQuery and Airflow, and experience with version control tools such as Git (preferred).

Benefits

  • Salary range: $70,000–$75,000 per year.
