Description

  • Manage the movement of vehicles into and out of the inspection center safely while meeting production and quality goals.
  • Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly inventory production targets.
  • Oversee day-to-day activities of assigned team members and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Coach, develop, and manage performance for hourly associates.
  • Create a team environment that supports clear communication, cohesion, and Carvana’s values.
  • Communicate expectations, performance measures, and goals clearly to team members.
  • Prevent and resolve conflict among team members.
  • Monitor adherence to systems, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
  • Review and approve mechanical and physical defects in incoming inventory.
  • Partner with the Inspection Center General Manager to decide whether inventory should be repaired or rejected.
  • Train production associates using quality control standards to complete repairs correctly the first time and reduce rework.
  • Manage multiple associates while supporting employee development and performance management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience using computers.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Demonstrated functional expertise in one or more areas of Carvana’s reconditioning process.
  • Demonstrated understanding of current reconditioning processes and lean principles.
  • Valid unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record in the last 3 years.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform frequent stretching, reaching, walking, stooping, pushing, and pulling in a demanding shop environment.
  • Ability to maintain high volume and high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to effectively delegate tasks, multitask, prioritize, communicate clearly, and resolve complex issues with guidance.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and variable schedules as needed.
  • Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check.
  • This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
