Description

  • Collaborate proactively with a distributed engineering team.
  • Write high-quality code for new features, bug fixes, and codebase modernization.
  • Maintain a strong focus on code quality and automated testing.
  • Participate in code reviews and architectural reviews.
  • Take ownership of problems and design and deliver solutions.
  • Assist with release management during each development cycle.
  • Collaborate with DevOps on Landscape SaaS, Canonical’s hosted Landscape offering.
  • Work remotely while traveling for internal and external events as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, STEM, or a similar field.
  • Proficiency developing public-facing APIs and web applications, preferably in Python.
  • Experience with Python and web frameworks such as Flask and Django.
  • Experience with databases and ORMs, with PostgreSQL as a plus.
  • Comfort working with Ubuntu as a development and deployment platform.
  • Curious, flexible, articulate, accountable, and self-motivated.
  • Passion for technology, open source software, and working with strong teams.
  • Ability to work remotely in the Americas region.
  • Willingness to travel 2 to 4 weeks for company events.
