Description

  • Teach synchronous online courses via Microsoft Teams.
  • Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning and engagement.
  • Adapt instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse student needs.
  • Use appropriate teaching and learning strategies to deliver subject matter in an online format.
  • Maintain current certifications in the subjects taught.
  • Demonstrate current and accurate knowledge of the discipline and connect it to related fields.
  • Stay current through professional development, professional organizations, conferences, and workshops.
  • Keep the student database updated and accurate, including grade records.
  • Maintain compliance with accreditation requirements, scheduled class hours, and CIAT policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with staff on new projects and support institutional goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Health Information Management, Health Informatics, Health Sciences, or Healthcare Administration.
  • Appropriate RHIT or RHIA certification required.
  • CCS, CCS-P, CDIP, CHDA, or CHPS credentials preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the respective field.
  • Advanced subject matter expertise preferred.
  • Experience with synchronous online teaching preferred.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Canvas.
  • Effective presentation skills and strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of flexibility, creativity, dependability, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to multitask, solve problems quickly, and work collaboratively across departments.
  • Must reside in California, New Mexico, Florida, or Massachusetts and work remotely from an approved location.
  • Must be able to work Monday-Friday with possible evening and weekend hours; live classes are held twice weekly from 6:00pm-9:30pm PST.

Benefits

  • Pay range of $80,000-$85,000 USD.
  • Fully remote work arrangement.
  • Work-from-home eligibility in approved states.
