Description

  • Teach live online cyber security classes through Microsoft Teams on Mondays and Tuesdays from 6:00–9:30 p.m. Pacific Time.
  • Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning and engagement.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs.
  • Deliver engaging lessons and communicate subject matter effectively in a synchronous online format.
  • Maintain accurate student attendance and grade records in the student database.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation standards, scheduled instructional hours, and college policies.
  • Stay current in cyber security through professional development, conferences, workshops, and professional organizations.
  • Collaborate with staff and academic departments on projects and initiatives supporting student success.
  • Maintain a professional, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution and official transcripts.
  • Current certification in the subject taught; desired certifications include Security+, CISSP, CEH, CGRC, CySA+, PenTest+, and SecAI+.
  • At least three years of experience in cyber, network, or information security, or two years of teaching experience.
  • Synchronous online teaching experience preferred.
  • Advanced subject-matter expertise and commitment to ongoing professional development preferred.
  • Effective presentation, verbal, written, communication, and technology skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Canvas, and other learning technologies.
  • Ability to work independently, multitask, solve problems effectively, and collaborate with colleagues.
  • Commitment to academic integrity, professionalism, inclusion, and student success.
  • Must reside in California, New Mexico, Florida, or Massachusetts while working remotely.
