Description

  • Teach synchronous online accounting courses via Microsoft Teams.
  • Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning and engagement.
  • Adapt instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse student needs.
  • Use effective teaching and learning strategies in a synchronous online format.
  • Maintain current subject-area certifications and subject matter expertise.
  • Keep student grade records in the student database accurate and up to date.
  • Follow CIAT policies, procedures, accreditation standards, and class hour requirements.
  • Collaborate with staff, academic departments, and administration on projects and student support.
  • Maintain a professional, business-casual appearance and conduct.
  • Support an inclusive, respectful, and student-centered learning environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the field or 2 years of teaching experience.
  • Current certifications in the subjects taught.
  • Advanced subject matter expertise preferred.
  • Synchronous online teaching experience preferred.
  • Effective presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Canvas.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and multitask.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must reside in California, New Mexico, Florida, or Massachusetts to perform remote work.
  • Availability to teach live classes Monday and Tuesday from 6:00pm-9:30pm PST.
  • Commitment to compliance, academic integrity, and inclusive education.
