Description

  • Manage full-cycle payroll processing for international employees with partial U.S. oversight.
  • Analyze payroll data, investigate discrepancies, and resolve payroll issues with actionable recommendations.
  • Interpret payroll policies and ensure compliance with U.S. federal, state, local, and international tax requirements.
  • Advise HR, Finance, and business leaders on compliance risks and process improvements.
  • Design, implement, and maintain payroll processes, internal controls, and reporting standards.
  • Lead payroll process improvement initiatives, including automation, to improve efficiency and control.
  • Partner with global payroll vendors to ensure accurate wage and tax administration across jurisdictions.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and external auditors on reporting, reconciliations, and system integrations.
  • Conduct regular audits of payroll records to ensure accuracy.
  • Support Workday payroll setup, testing, troubleshooting, enhancements, and data maintenance.
  • Set up new payroll tax accounts and provide information to ADP for processing.
  • Provide prompt customer service for payroll inquiries and support ad-hoc projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive payroll experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with U.S. and international payroll.
  • 3+ years of experience with Workday payroll modules.
  • Must have experience working with Workday.
  • Workday Payroll certification or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation strongly preferred.
  • Experience in public accounting and/or corporate accounting within a large publicly traded company preferred.
  • Strong expertise in U.S. and international payroll tax compliance.
  • Expert-level Microsoft Excel skills, including advanced PivotTables, VLOOKUP, and database creation.
  • Strong report writing, data analysis, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage complexity in a global payroll environment with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, global workplace and build strong cross-cultural partnerships.
