Description

  • Review and track client medical treatment throughout each phase of care.
  • Request and obtain medical records, billing records, and supporting affidavits in a timely manner.
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of medical and billing records.
  • Contact medical providers and records or billing departments for status updates, primarily by phone and sometimes through Chartswap.
  • Provide weekly status updates and maintain progress tracking in the firm’s systems.
  • Research and manage subrogation liens, including Medicaid, Medicare, hospital liens, and related claims.
  • Manage a caseload of 30 to 40 active cases and scale with increased volume as needed.
  • Assist the case manager in confirming that clients have received the treatment referred by providers.

Requirements

  • Fluent in both English and Spanish.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in a medical assistant, medical office, or healthcare-related role preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, billing codes, and medical records management preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
