Description

  • Develop hands-on programming courses that teach computer science concepts using Brilliant’s Python learning game.
  • Design new visual, puzzle-driven learning games that teach algorithms, data structures, and computational thinking.
  • Break down complex computer science topics such as recursion, backtracking, and dynamic programming into clear, sequenced learning steps.
  • Create clear, creative, and intuitive content that uses interactivity to build learner confidence and mastery.
  • Build immersive learning experiences that guide learners through problem-solving journeys.
  • Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to develop new interactive features, visuals, and mechanics for web and mobile experiences.

Requirements

  • An undergraduate degree or above in a STEM field.
  • A strong grounding in computer science developed through research or teaching beyond traditional curricula.
  • Ability to teach complex topics through clear, simple, hands-on steps.
  • Experience building or using interactivity to motivate, engage, and challenge learners, including in asynchronous contexts.
  • Strong English writing skills and the ability to communicate challenging concepts effectively.
  • Strong context switching and prioritization skills for managing a large workload.
  • Openness to change and willingness to experiment with formats and platforms.
  • Comfort jumping into any part of a project, regardless of size or scope.
  • Applicants should include their best example(s) of how they have taught computer science concepts interactively online.
