Description

  • Own end-to-end data systems and pipelines relied on by internal teams and customers.
  • Design and implement data integrations across multiple backend business systems to ensure reliable data flows.
  • Build and maintain streaming data processing workflows for real-time ingestion and transformation.
  • Develop and maintain APIs that enable data access and sharing across internal teams and platforms.
  • Manage workflow orchestration and automation using Airflow on Kubernetes.
  • Define data correctness standards and support them with monitoring, alerting, and integration tests.
  • Build reusable patterns and components that other engineers can adopt.
  • Break down ambiguous work into actionable tasks and clarify edge cases and requirements with stakeholders.
  • Communicate tradeoffs, assumptions, and risks clearly in design reviews and pull requests.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of data engineering experience.
  • 3+ years of Airflow experience.
  • Expertise in Python and SQL.
  • Strong working knowledge of Snowflake, Airflow, DBT, and GCP.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Previous experience in fintech, payments, or a related industry is preferred.
  • Experience managing Airflow on Kubernetes is preferred.
  • Experience with data streaming tools such as Apache Beam or Dataflow is preferred.
  • Experience with automated ETL tools such as Fivetran or HighTouch is preferred.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship or transfer.
