Description

  • Research, ideate, interview sources and write high-quality, creative, SEO-optimized travel and cruise content according to client briefs.
  • Revise and edit content to meet client expectations, style guidelines and specified deadlines.
  • Follow highly specific client checklists for style, structure and organization and adhere to required formatting, sourcing and content submission processes.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Content Marketing Strategists to align content with campaign goals and client requirements.
  • Virtually attend project, client and team meetings and maintain a professional videoconferencing presence.
  • Track weekly writing and editing production using the company’s in-house project management system.
  • Manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced, high-volume, deadline-driven workflow.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of professional writing experience, including travel writing experience.
  • Related degree such as English or Journalism.
  • Extensive experience with travel and cruising, including ocean and river cruises and multiple levels of cruising (including luxury).
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with extreme attention to detail.
  • Comprehensive understanding of SEO best practices and branded content writing.
  • Strong research abilities and the ability to quickly learn, understand and write about complex subjects; experience conducting interviews.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills for fast-paced, high-volume, deadline-oriented work.
  • Ability to follow precise directions and client-specific checklists and processes for formatting, sourcing and submission.
  • Self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively in a fully remote environment; comfortable with videoconferencing for client meetings.
  • Knowledge of AP Style is a plus.
