Description

  • Design, develop, optimize, test, and maintain application code for in-house web and mobile products.
  • Ensure software meets both technical and business requirements.
  • Work across specialized engineering pods based on background and team fit.
  • Build foundational frontend platform libraries and support a universal codebase for cross-platform delivery.
  • Develop and maintain backend platform systems, including microservices, event-driven systems, and identity-related infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, and QA in cross-functional product development teams.
  • Contribute to building and maintaining products from the ground up.
  • Own platform quality, reliability, and delivery outcomes.
  • Participate in practical coding challenges, systems design discussions, and technical collaboration as part of the hiring process.

Requirements

  • Working experience building scalable web applications on the cloud, preferably within a microservices architecture.
  • Strong knowledge of modern JavaScript front-end frameworks, primarily React, React Native, and TypeScript, or strong backend development experience.
  • Backend experience with .NET 10 on Azure is preferred for backend-focused roles.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • A growth mindset and interest in building new products from scratch rather than only maintaining existing code.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure is nice to have.
  • Experience with Next.js or headless CMS platforms such as Contentful is nice to have.
  • Turborepo knowledge is nice to have.
  • Experience in fast-paced fintech or startup environments is nice to have.
  • Must be physically located in Ontario, BC, or Alberta.
  • Must be able to clear a credit and criminal record check as a condition of employment.
