Description

  • Own the end-to-end risk agenda for the designated function, including RCSA, control register, issue management, and risk acceptances.
  • Implement and enhance the Risk Management Framework and drive adoption across the function.
  • Build and monitor KPIs/KRIs to identify and report emerging risk trends and shifts.
  • Partner with Engineering and Data Science to design and implement automated monitoring solutions and risk controls.
  • Coach product and engineering teams on "risk-by-design" practices and promote risk ownership within product development.
  • Drive executive-level reporting on risk shifts, emerging indicators, and remediation status.
  • Serve as the liaison between the business and second- and third-line risk functions (e.g., compliance, internal audit).
  • Manage regulatory obligations and coordinate responses to audit findings.
  • Champion a risk ownership mindset across business units and influence stakeholders to remediate risks.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally (Product, Engineering, Design, Compliance, Legal) as a trusted advisor to functional stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of fintech risk management experience, preferably with exposure to Bitcoin, Lending, or Card products.
  • Experience with RCSA, control registers, issue management, and risk acceptance processes.
  • Strong understanding of the financial services regulatory landscape and proven success in regulatory compliance management.
  • Track record of implementing risk frameworks in agile environments.
  • Experience partnering with engineering and product teams to design and implement risk controls and automated monitoring solutions.
  • Experience working with data science/analytics to detect emerging risks and build KPIs/KRIs.
  • Proven stakeholder management, communication skills, and experience presenting to and influencing senior leadership.
  • Ability to be hired remotely in the U.S. (role supports remote U.S. hires).
  • Professional risk certifications preferred (FRM, CRISC, CISA, or CAMS).

  • Market-based salary with published U.S. zone ranges: Zone A $163,600–$245,400; Zone B $152,200–$228,200; Zone C $144,000–$216,000; Zone D $135,800–$203,600 USD.
