Description

  • Serve as a strategic finance partner to Proto leadership on hardware, self-mining, and infrastructure initiatives.
  • Build, own, and maintain end-to-end financial models for Proto programs and ventures.
  • Develop scenario, sensitivity, and investment analyses for new deals, expansions, energy partnerships, and operational changes.
  • Support deal structuring and execution with external counterparties, including pricing frameworks, contract economics, and counterparty assessment.
  • Evaluate new venture opportunities across the Bitcoin ecosystem.
  • Lead ad-hoc analyses and special projects related to Proto’s P&L, capital deployment, performance metrics, and strategic priorities.
  • Collaborate closely with product, engineering, legal, finance, and business teams on complex transactions and strategic decisions.
  • Engage directly with customers and external partners to assess opportunities and support negotiations.
  • Build financial frameworks and size opportunities to inform product and deal economics.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of relevant finance experience.
  • Strong preference for an investment banking background plus experience in strategic finance, corporate development, or principal investing.
  • Experience in fintech, infrastructure, energy, or digital assets is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex analyses and drive outcomes on cross-functional, high-impact initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to translate unstructured problems into clear frameworks and recommendations.
  • Comfort working with financial and operational metrics, building new KPIs, and navigating large or imperfect data sets.
  • Interest in Bitcoin and digital asset infrastructure; prior hands-on experience in the space is beneficial but not required.
  • Ability to balance rigor with speed and exercise sound judgment in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.

  • Starting salary range of $163,600–$245,400 USD for Zone A, $152,200–$228,200 for Zone B, $144,000–$216,000 for Zone C, and $135,800–$203,600 for Zone D.
