Description

  • Become an expert and authority on the iOS codebase and own related technical decisions.
  • Design, implement, and maintain new features and improvements in the native iOS application.
  • Collaborate with other teams to maintain feature parity across Bitwarden clients and enable cross-client consistency.
  • Participate in and lead code reviews, share knowledge, and promote best practices across the team.
  • Mentor and support the career development of other engineers on the team.
  • Research and apply the latest iOS trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve the product.
  • Occasionally triage and fix bugs or shepherd community-submitted pull requests.
  • Ensure the team builds secure, performant, and user-focused software for iOS users.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated expertise building complex iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI.
  • Strong understanding of iOS UI/UX design and architecture principles.
  • Familiarity with unit testing, UI testing, and snapshot testing.
  • Experience using Claude Code or a similar generative AI coding platform (preferred).
  • Experience with iOS Extensions and TestFlight.
  • Collaborative, adaptable mindset with excellent communication skills and openness/authenticity.
  • Enthusiasm for open source and improving internet security.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to find and communicate solutions.
  • Ability to work fully remotely with overlap with the US Eastern Time Zone; Bitwarden does not offer visa sponsorship at this time.
