Description

  • Create reference implementations for potential future products and product components using the Hivemind SDK.
  • Integrate new hardware platforms, sensor suites, simulators, and concepts of operation into commercial autonomy and simulation systems.
  • Demonstrate developed architectures to customers and iterate based on feedback.
  • Explore and evaluate future hardware and software technologies relevant to the product roadmap.
  • Identify technical debt across the stack and synthesize solution paths.
  • Contribute directly to foundational Hivemind products and commercial applications of Hivemind Enterprise.
  • Collaborate closely with product teams and operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of related experience developing large, production-quality software systems.
  • 10+ years of experience with modern C++ (C++17 and beyond).
  • Strong knowledge of modern software engineering best practices.
  • Experience with Git and code management tools.
  • Good software hygiene, including code documentation, unit testing, and bug tracking.
  • High productivity in a mainstream language such as Typescript, C++, Go, or Python.
  • Deep self-sufficiency in adopting new technologies and managing local and cloud resources.
  • Experience designing and implementing large, complex distributed systems.
  • Experience with Linux, Docker, and CI/CD environments.
  • Strong technical collaboration skills and a desire to develop new skills.
  • Experience in aerospace and/or robotics is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with a major cloud platform such as Azure, GCP, or AWS is preferred.
  • Experience in team leadership or as a technical project lead is preferred.
  • Experience with Kubernetes is preferred.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $156,000 to $320,000 a year, depending on level and experience.
  • Bonus eligibility for full-time regular employees.
  • Benefits package for full-time regular employees.
  • Equity as part of the full-time regular employee offer package.
  • Temporary benefits package for eligible temporary employees after 60 days of employment.
