Description

  • Review project budgets and schedules and advise the project supervisor on their adequacy.
  • Perform construction observation of field activities and follow applicable project procedures.
  • Maintain field books and complete required project documentation.
  • Measure construction work and calculate quantities for pay items.
  • Prepare Inspector Daily Reports and other required reports and records.
  • Report progress, technical issues, remaining work, and deficiencies to the project supervisor.
  • Review plans, specifications, and submittals related to assigned work.
  • Provide design or other professional assistance to project managers.
  • Maintain company-owned vehicles and equipment assigned to the project.

Requirements

  • BS in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related engineering curriculum required.
  • EIT preferred.
  • 0-5 years of experience working with DOT preferred.
  • Experience working on field projects desired.
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office suite tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organization and ability to work efficiently within budgets and schedules.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Clean driving record and valid/current driver's license required.
  • Field-based role requiring consistent travel to various project sites within the United States region.
