Description

  • Manage and lead one or more software engineering teams, promoting technical excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the design, development, and delivery of high-quality software solutions.
  • Manage personnel activities, including hiring, performance management, coaching, career development, and team building.
  • Partner with Product Managers to align engineering work with product vision and business goals.
  • Establish efficient engineering processes and standards to support team success.
  • Contribute to architecture decisions, software development, and code reviews.
  • Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback.
  • Lead resource planning and recruitment to scale the engineering organization.
  • Foster an inclusive, collaborative, remote-first team culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of software development experience, including at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience hiring, managing performance, and building software engineering teams.
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Databricks, Go, Python, or a similar programming language.
  • Experience leading software engineering teams and delivering projects on time.
  • Strong project management, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • U.S. citizenship or Green Card; sponsorship is not available.
  • U.S. residency for at least the past 3 years and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance through a U.S. Government background investigation.
  • Interest in healthcare and success working collaboratively in a remote-first environment.
