Description

  • Produce product demos, instructional videos, campaign videos, and social cuts that simplify complex SaaS workflows through motion graphics and visual storytelling.
  • Design UI and product animations for web, including micro-interactions, transitions, and storytelling moments.
  • Translate storyboards, concepts, and visual directions into polished motion output across multiple formats and platforms.
  • Partner with brand, product, growth, and project stakeholders to align creative work with marketing goals and client needs.
  • Help build and uphold Basis’ motion standards and support consistency across deliverables.
  • Own project workload and timelines while communicating progress, priorities, and blockers clearly.
  • Contribute motion perspectives early in the creative process and flag what will or will not translate well to animation.
  • Stay current on motion trends, AI-first tools, and emerging best practices.
  • Support cross-functional collaboration from brief through delivery and adapt to feedback quickly.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in motion design, animation, or video production, ideally in tech or SaaS.
  • A strong online portfolio demonstrating motion work across multiple formats.
  • Expertise in After Effects and Premiere Pro; fluency in Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Deep understanding of motion principles, pacing, and visual storytelling.
  • Familiarity with front-end web technologies and integrating motion into live environments.
  • Experience creating Lottie animations optimized for web performance.
  • Ability to document workflows and train others on tools and best practices.
  • Comfort working independently, managing multiple projects, and handling feedback well.
  • Comfortable working on-site for select video projects, with some travel required (~5%).
  • Preferred experience with Figma, Cinema 4D, Blender, Maxon Autograph, or Cavalry; camera, mic, music, and sound design experience are bonus points.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is a bonus point.
