Description

  • Develop merchant services relationships through branch, commercial banking, treasury management, and business banking partnerships.
  • Follow up on referrals, identify client needs, present solutions, and convert opportunities into active merchant accounts.
  • Consult on complex opportunities and ensure accurate merchant onboarding and account setup.
  • Build relationships with merchants and internal partners to support growth and retention.
  • Provide product, technical, and sales support for merchant services inquiries.
  • Prepare pricing comparisons and recommend pricing strategies.
  • Troubleshoot escalated and complex merchant services issues.
  • Assess merchant risk and coordinate approval solutions for higher-risk relationships.
  • Maintain knowledge of merchant services regulations, procedures, and PCI compliance requirements.
  • Provide training and knowledge sharing while ensuring compliance with applicable policies and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Law, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 4 years of dedicated B2B sales, account management, merchant services, or treasury management experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of merchant services, financial services, consumer credit cards, or commercial credit card products preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in consultative sales, business development, and relationship management preferred.
  • Strong client-facing communication, prospecting, negotiation, problem-solving, organization, and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
  • Understanding of federal and state merchant services and payment processing regulations preferred.
  • Ability to provide subject matter expertise and share knowledge with others.
  • Willingness to travel up to 5%.
