Description

  • Design and develop data analytics tools, automated validation frameworks, and dashboards for Finance Operations and Controllership.
  • Drive upstream data hygiene by partnering with source-system owners to fix data issues at the point of origin.
  • Own data dictionaries, lineage documentation, quality scorecards, and master data management standards for critical controllership data assets.
  • Partner with the CIO and IT on integration strategy and support Snowflake data warehouse deployment.
  • Lead end-to-end data workstreams for M&A transactions, including due diligence, risk assessment, and integration planning.
  • Design and execute data mapping, cleansing, and migration plans for post-acquisition integration.
  • Build and operate ETL and ELT pipelines that remediate data quality issues before data reaches downstream systems or models.
  • Develop repeatable M&A data integration frameworks that automate profiling, matching, and anomaly detection.
  • Co-design audit-ready data pipelines with traceable lineage, audit trails, and evidence suitable for external audit.
  • Build close-support tools for GL-to-sub-ledger, intercompany, and journal entry processes to reduce manual work and strengthen controls.
  • Serve as the data enablement partner for Controllership AI teams and process owners, ensuring access to clean governed datasets.
  • Create self-service analytics capabilities for FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and Controllership teams.
  • Partner cross-functionally with stakeholders in Finance, Technology, Product, Engineering, Revenue Operations, and Legal to manage data projects end-to-end.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in data science, data engineering, or analytics.
  • Strong, current proficiency with SQL and Python.
  • Hands-on experience building pipelines and shipping tools, not just directing others.
  • Comfort using AI-assisted development tools, including code generation, copilots, and large language models.
  • Deep experience with upstream data quality remediation, master data management, and data governance in a finance or accounting environment.
  • Demonstrated M&A data integration experience, including due diligence, data mapping, migration, and post-acquisition consolidation.
  • Ability to build senior-level relationships, lead cross-functional projects end-to-end, and influence without direct authority across global teams.
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP accounting processes or FP&A processes, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, R2R, O2C, P2P, and revenue recognition.
  • Practical familiarity with SOX compliance and IT General Controls sufficient to support audit-ready data pipelines and external audit evidence.
  • Snowflake or comparable cloud data warehouse experience, with BI platform experience such as Sigma preferred.
  • Experience in a high-growth, publicly traded technology company or digital transformation environment preferred.
  • Experience enabling AI/ML teams with clean data pipelines and using AI code generation in day-to-day development preferred.
  • Supervisory experience leading data teams preferred.
  • M&A integration experience in an active acquisition environment or a regulated industry such as public safety or defense preferred.
  • Experience with audit management, financial close platforms, ERP systems, and their data integration requirements preferred.
  • Some roles may require legal eligibility to work in a firearms environment.
