Description

  • Design and develop data analytics tools, automated validation frameworks, and dashboards that provide real-time visibility into data health across enterprise systems.
  • Drive upstream data hygiene by partnering with source-system owners in Revenue Operations, Procurement, Human Resources, and Engineering to resolve issues at the source.
  • Own data dictionaries, lineage documentation, quality scorecards, and master data management standards for critical controllership data assets.
  • Partner with the CIO and IT on integration strategy to ensure seamless data flows between ERP, sub-ledgers, and the enterprise data platform.
  • Support Snowflake data warehouse deployment.
  • Lead end-to-end M&A data workstreams, including data due diligence, risk assessment, and integration playbooks for acquired-company data.
  • Design and execute data mapping, cleansing, and migration plans for post-acquisition integration.
  • Build, own, and operate ETL and ELT pipelines that remediate data quality issues before data reaches downstream AI models, reporting, or analytics.
  • Co-design audit-ready data pipelines with traceable lineage, complete audit trails, and evidence suitable for external audit.
  • Build or collaborate on close-support tools such as GL-to-sub-ledger, intercompany, and journal entry workflows to reduce manual effort and strengthen controls.
  • Serve as the data enablement partner to Controllership AI teams and process owners by providing clean, governed datasets for ML, automation, and LLM initiatives.
  • Create self-service analytics capabilities for FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and Controllership teams.
  • Engage cross-functional stakeholders across FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Engineering, Product, Revenue Operations, and Legal to manage data projects end-to-end.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in data science, data engineering, or analytics.
  • Strong, current proficiency with SQL and Python.
  • Hands-on experience building pipelines and shipping tools, not only directing others.
  • Comfort using AI-assisted development tools such as code generation, copilots, and large language models.
  • Deep experience with upstream data quality remediation, master data management, and data governance in a finance or accounting environment.
  • Demonstrated M&A data integration experience, including due diligence, data mapping, migration, and post-acquisition consolidation.
  • Ability to build senior-level relationships, lead cross-functional projects end-to-end, and influence without direct authority across global teams.
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP accounting processes such as R2R, O2C, P2P, and revenue recognition, or FP&A processes such as budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Practical familiarity with SOX compliance and IT General Controls (ITGCs) sufficient to design audit-ready data pipelines and support internal and external auditors with data extracts and control evidence.
  • Snowflake or comparable cloud data warehouse experience is preferred.
  • Experience with BI platforms such as Sigma is preferred.
  • Experience in a high-growth, publicly traded technology company or digital transformation environment is preferred.
  • Experience enabling AI/ML teams with clean data pipelines and using AI code generation in day-to-day development is preferred.
  • Supervisory experience leading data teams is preferred.
  • M&A integration experience in a company with an active acquisition strategy is preferred.
  • Public safety, defense, or regulated industry background is preferred.
  • Experience with audit management or financial close platforms/ERP and their data integration requirements is preferred.
