Description

  • Conduct legal due diligence on real estate properties, land plots, and premises for quick-service restaurant use.
  • Draft, negotiate, review, and manage commercial lease agreements for properties and land plots.
  • Lead lease negotiations, propose amendments and addendums, and handle lease terminations.
  • Manage pre-litigation claim procedures and represent the company in negotiations with landlords and counterparties.
  • Register long-term lease agreements with the land registry when legally required.
  • Draft and negotiate construction contracts for restaurant development projects.
  • Develop and adapt standard lease templates and related agreements, including preliminary leases, long-term leases, agency agreements, and utility service contracts.
  • Participate in the development of internal procedures related to the role’s functional responsibilities.
  • Prepare legal opinions at management’s request and complete other assignments directed by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • University degree in law (Staatsexamen or equivalent) with practical experience in real estate law.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in real estate development within retail chains, QSR/hospitality, hotels, restaurants, or franchising sectors in Germany.
  • Proven track record of successfully closing lease agreements for at least 25 retail or commercial units.
  • In-depth knowledge of German urban planning regulations (BauGB) and commercial permitting procedures.
  • Familiarity with regional specifics of Thuringia, Saxony, and Bavaria.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to balance business interests with legal risk management.
  • Native German proficiency (C2) and English proficiency of at least B2.
  • Experience working in real estate development for retail chains, QSR, hospitality, hotels, restaurants, or franchising is preferred.
