Description

  • Lead the full launch cycle for 1–2 KFC restaurants in 2026 from site handover to opening day, ensuring readiness and formal acceptance of key works and systems.
  • Ensure full compliance with KFC operational standards, hygiene, and safety requirements during openings and ongoing operations.
  • Own short-term P&L responsibility for restaurants during the opening phase, control operational costs, and work to achieve planned profitability targets.
  • Participate in preparing opening budgets and budgets for the first months of operation and optimize staffing levels and shift schedules in compliance with German labour law.
  • Recruit, train, coach, and mentor initial restaurant teams (cashiers, cooks, cleaning staff) and future Restaurant Managers to establish service standards.
  • Conduct weekly on-site work in restaurants to perform quality control, support teams, and monitor key performance indicators (service speed, guest satisfaction, compliance).
  • Coordinate with contractors (construction, equipment, cleaning, service providers) and monitor restaurant opening readiness.
  • Liaise with the KFC brand owner on standards and audits and prepare restaurants for inspections by trade unions, health and safety authorities, and local government bodies.
  • Implement digital management tools in accordance with GDPR requirements to support operations and reporting.

Requirements

  • Fluent German (C1/C2) — mandatory for working with trade unions and public authorities.
  • At least 2 years of experience in the restaurant or retail sector (e.g., Restaurant Manager, Supervisor, Trainer).
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the region (30–50% of working time).
  • Understanding of German labour law is an advantage.
  • Higher education preferred but not mandatory; hands-on operational experience is highly valued.
  • Ability to coordinate with contractors and manage opening readiness across multiple sites.
  • Familiarity with implementing digital management tools and ensuring GDPR compliance (preferred).
  • Willingness to work remotely and travel extensively across Thuringia, Saxony, and Bavaria with a future office located in one of those regions.
