Description

  • Provide advanced scientific leadership across publications-focused deliverables, including manuscripts, abstracts, posters, plain language summaries, and digital enhancers such as podcasts and videos.
  • Ensure scientific accuracy and strategic oversight across assigned workstreams or accounts.
  • Provide high-level scientific review and align content with client objectives.
  • Lead client relationships within assigned accounts and maintain clear, trusted communication.
  • Mentor, onboard, and empower junior writers to build scientific expertise.
  • Support team development and resource planning across projects and accounts.
  • Contribute to business development and organic growth through scientific insight.
  • May line manage junior writers, depending on team needs.

Requirements

  • Degree in a scientific or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in medical or scientific writing.
  • Respiratory experience is highly advantageous.
  • Proven ability to manage diverse scientific content and maintain strategic alignment.
  • Experience with client relationship management and account oversight.
  • Collaborative leadership style with a focus on mentoring and team development.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
  • Suitable for someone progressing from Lead Medical Writer, Associate Principal Medical Writer, Principal Medical Writer, or an equivalent role.
