Description

  • Conduct primary and open-source intelligence research across one or more Nexus of Risk domains, including cyber, physical security, people, operational, financial, technology, safety, strategic, reputation, compliance and regulatory, supply chain, and geopolitical risks.
  • Produce written analytical products such as client advisories, sector briefings, alert notifications, and subscription deliverables.
  • Apply structured analytic techniques to assess likelihood, impact, and cross-domain risk interactions.
  • Use the Tacilent platform and related intelligence tools to support research, evidence tracking, and publication workflows.
  • Maintain analytical rigor and adherence to Apogee's Nexus of Risk taxonomy and editorial standards.
  • Contribute research inputs to the Risk Apogee podcast, RRAG webinar series, and LinkedIn content.
  • Participate in weekly editorial planning and product review with the RRAG team.
  • Collaborate with the Team Leader, RRAG, and Senior Risk Advisors as needed to deliver assigned work products.

Requirements

  • 3 to 7 years of professional experience in risk analysis, intelligence analysis, cybersecurity research, threat intelligence, geopolitical analysis, or a directly related research function.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as intelligence studies, security studies, international relations, computer science, risk management, criminal justice, public policy, or a comparable discipline.
  • A demonstrated portfolio of written analytical products, with 2 to 3 sanitized writing samples ready to share.
  • Working command of at least one Nexus domain, with analytical literacy across adjacent domains.
  • Proficiency with OSINT methods, source evaluation, and structured sourcing.
  • Strong written English and the ability to write in a defined editorial voice and revise efficiently based on feedback.
  • Ability to work independently on a contract basis, manage deliverable timelines, and communicate proactively.
  • Working knowledge of risk management frameworks such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework 2.0, NIST AI Risk Management Framework, ISO 31000, ISO 27001, COSO ERM, CMMC 2.0, or FAIR is preferred.
  • Prior experience in government, intelligence community, military, law enforcement, or regulated industry settings is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CFE, PSP, CPP, Security+, GIAC, or recognized intelligence analyst credentials are preferred.
  • Experience producing subscription-based intelligence or commercial advisory products is preferred.
  • Comfort with platform-based analytical workflows and AI-assisted research tooling is preferred.
  • Experience supporting executive or board-level audiences is preferred.
