Description

  • Architect and develop scalable, reliable, and maintainable backend systems.
  • Champion architectural decisions and lead design discussions with cross-team alignment.
  • Mentor engineers and drive technical excellence through collaboration.
  • Identify opportunities for technical innovation, system evolution, and performance improvements.
  • Build and maintain internal tools and infrastructure using AWS and Terraform.
  • Implement observability, logging, and operational best practices to ensure platform availability.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and resolve production incidents.
  • Contribute to AI and automation initiatives that improve engineering productivity and reduce toil.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in backend development, including several years in a staff-level or technical leadership role.
  • Expert-level knowledge of C# (.NET 8+).
  • Strong hands-on experience with PostgreSQL or solid SQL experience.
  • Proven experience designing and scaling distributed systems in cloud-native environments, preferably AWS.
  • Comfortable working with containerized services and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Docker, ECS, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor AI, ChatGPT, or Amazon CodeWhisperer.
  • Growth mindset and curiosity about how AI and automation can improve development quality and reduce toil.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to explain ideas clearly to cross-functional teams.
  • Pragmatic problem-solving approach, including knowing when to build custom solutions versus using existing AI tools.
  • Experience with event-driven systems and streaming technologies; Kafka is a plus.
  • Fluent in English.
