Description

  • Own and manage end-to-end payroll operations for the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, the United Kingdom, and France.
  • Ensure timely, accurate payroll processing and compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and internal governance standards.
  • Partner with external payroll providers and internal stakeholders to streamline operations and resolve payroll issues.
  • Serve as the main contact for payroll questions from employees, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Maintain and improve payroll systems, processes, and internal controls.
  • Prepare payroll reports and reconciliations for Accounting, Finance, and HR teams.
  • Assist with payroll journal entry preparation during month-end close.
  • Support audits and implement recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with HR to ensure payroll data accuracy across onboarding, promotions, and terminations.
  • Support the U.S. payroll team on an as-needed basis.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience managing multi-country payroll operations across European jurisdictions.
  • Experience with payroll implications of equity awards across multiple jurisdictions, including taxation, withholding, and reporting obligations.
  • Strong knowledge of European labor law and statutory requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. and Canadian labor law and payroll practices preferred.
  • Experience managing relationships with external payroll providers across multiple countries.
  • Proficiency in international HRIS and payroll systems such as Personio, UKG/Immedis, ADP, SAP, or similar.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookup functions.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Ability to work autonomously and handle sensitive, confidential information with discretion.
  • Experience in the Netherlands, United Kingdom, Germany, or France is a plus.
