Description

  • Define and drive technical architecture for Manufacturing Production Solutions, including system design, scalability patterns, integration strategies, and platform-versus-build tradeoffs.
  • Architect and implement distributed systems, services, APIs, and tooling for work orders, scheduling, material tracking, and capacity planning.
  • Establish engineering excellence through hands-on practices such as testing, deployment safety, infrastructure as code, observability, and operational rigor.
  • Collaborate with Platform/Foundations to shape shared infrastructure and drive adoption of platform capabilities.
  • Partner across MES product teams to create cohesive manufacturing experiences and evolve data models across production, quality, and supply chain domains.
  • Represent manufacturing requirements in architecture, security, operations, and infrastructure decisions.
  • Raise the technical bar through code reviews, architecture discussions, shared ownership models, and improved team practices.
  • Identify systemic technical issues, remove friction, eliminate single points of failure, and improve automation and tooling.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in a software engineering role building products in fast-paced environments.
  • Proven ability to influence technical direction across teams and lead architectural consensus.
  • Experience working with large enterprise applications and platforms with high availability requirements.
  • Strong full-stack experience with modern web technologies, including JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and frameworks such as Next.js or Remix.
  • Systems thinking and the ability to translate manufacturing operations requirements into scalable technical architectures.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and build cross-team alignment.
  • U.S. Person status is required to access export-controlled data.
  • Familiarity with AWS, TypeScript, and React/Remix is particularly helpful.
  • Experience in hyper-growth startup-like environments, including scaling software development processes and balancing short- and long-term tradeoffs.
  • Manufacturing operations domain knowledge, such as MES, ERP, production scheduling, work order management, or supply chain platforms.
  • Experience in defense, autonomy, robotics, or mission-critical systems is helpful but not required.
  • Experience with AI/LLM integration and agentic tooling in production software development.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS/SCI clearance.
