Description

Design and implement trusted, safety-critical Vehicle Management Systems.
Design and implement scalable vehicle subsystems for sensor processing, state estimation, contingency management, actuation, payload interfaces, and mission system interfaces.
Contribute to reusable software components across multiple Anduril product lines.
Develop real-time embedded software using an RTOS.
Develop device drivers and interfaces for sensors and actuators.
Create test and simulation fixtures for software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
Support vehicle manufacturing and deployment.
Collaborate as a member of a multidisciplinary engineering team.
Travel up to 20% of the time to co-locate with end users and other teams.
Own projects end to end across architecture, design, delivery, support, and evolution.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
4+ years of relevant experience.
Strong proficiency in C.
Experience with an RTOS.
Familiarity with communications busses and protocols such as CAN, CANFD, UART/RS232/RS422/RS485, SPI, QSPI, I2C, Ethernet, ARINC-825, ARINC-429, or MIL-STD-1553.
Systems programming skills, including algorithms, data structures, concurrency, and optimization.
Ability to work holistically on software-enabled capabilities through design, implementation, operation, and sustainment.
Ability to learn quickly and grow toward the standard of Senior Software Engineer.
Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
Preferred: experience designing embedded applications in autonomous vehicle software systems.
Preferred: experience developing high-assurance safety-critical software applications.
Preferred: experience developing interfaces to sensors and actuators.
Preferred: experience troubleshooting and analyzing remotely deployed software systems.
Preferred: experience working with and testing electrical and mechanical systems.
Preferred: experience with DO-178, IEC 61508, or similar certifications.
Preferred: familiarity with navigation and communications systems.
Preferred: experience across manufacturing, system acceptance, deployment, and sustainment.
Preferred: familiarity with systems engineering concepts.
