Description

  • Facilitate hedging for client trading flows while managing firm risk within defined appetite and controls.
  • Provide responsive, high-touch client service during all market and client interactions.
  • Manage principal trading exposures and maintain trading desk pricing, risk models, and governing controls.
  • Contribute to trading technology improvements by providing front-line input on product features and tooling priorities.
  • Automate manual trading workflows using Python where appropriate and adapt existing code as desk needs evolve.
  • Monitor market narratives, liquidity conditions, and price movements to inform execution and internal research.
  • Help shape new trading products and capabilities to better meet client needs and grow market share.
  • Respond immediately to changes in exposure, client requests, and market conditions, including weekend and off-hours coverage.
  • Collaborate across teams and mentor junior traders to share knowledge and improve trading processes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as an OTC trader in the cryptocurrency space.
  • Demonstrated ability to convert institutional prospects into trading clients.
  • Deep knowledge of crypto market microstructure and execution dynamics.
  • Experience with both electronic and voice trading.
  • Comfort using Python for automation and modifying existing code as needed.
  • Strong client-facing communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work rotating weekend and off-hours coverage.
  • Awareness of industry trends, regulatory guidelines, and trading/settlement best practices.
  • Preferred: ability to identify market narratives and trade-relevant coin-specific themes.
  • Preferred: familiarity with using memes or unconventional communication styles in a trading context.
