Description

  • Implement front-office and back-office trading systems used by institutional investors to trade, invest, and exchange cryptocurrency assets.
  • Participate in task breakdown, estimation, design, implementation, and maintenance of trading systems.
  • Influence the technical direction of the Brokerage team using domain knowledge of trading systems.
  • Dive deep into complex, ambiguous problems and formulate practical technical solutions.
  • Review other developers’ code to improve consistency, reduce errors, and share context across the engineering team.
  • Drive iterative system improvements through robust instrumentation and metric collection.
  • Work independently or as a lead engineer to deliver features and larger projects.
  • Break down large projects into smaller tasks and estimate scope and delivery time accurately.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the Brokerage team and other Anchorage Digital teams.
  • Mentor and guide other engineers while helping align work to the team’s strategic goals.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional experience with Go.
  • Experience with modern software development practices, including automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • Experience with cloud development.
  • Experience with database design and interaction using MySQL or PostgreSQL.
  • Experience using Git.
  • Knowledge of financial asset trading systems, with familiarity in some of the following: OEMS, FIX protocol, market data, low latency architectures and messaging, matching engines, FX trading, OTC, derivatives, position/risk management, cryptocurrency trading, and trading back-office systems.
  • Real-world experience building financial trading systems.
  • Strong interest in software engineering practices such as TDD, SOLID, and refactoring.
  • Strong commitment to code quality and test infrastructure.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and learn from and mentor others.
  • Bonus: GraphQL API design and implementation experience.
  • Bonus: gRPC API design and implementation experience.
  • Bonus: background in the finance industry.
  • Bonus: experience working with digital asset or cryptocurrency trading.
