Description

  • Design the systems that power financial reports, daily statements, monthly reports, and custom client requests.
  • Evolve reporting architecture from decentralized scripts to a centralized, framework-based delivery system.
  • Build automated validation and reconciliation processes to scale reporting without manual oversight.
  • Design data models that serve as a trusted source of truth for downstream product teams and external APIs.
  • Apply consistent logic across multiple product data streams for all financial statements.
  • Work with Product and Foundations teams to standardize how financial data is captured and represented.
  • Create self-service frameworks that allow other teams to add new report types through configuration instead of code.
  • Listen to product stakeholders to anticipate future scaling needs for client-facing data.
  • Help mature engineering standards by advocating for and modeling Data as a Product principles.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience building data systems, internal tools, frameworks, or engines that handle 10x scale.
  • Experience in fintech, banking, or another financial domain where precision and numerical accuracy are critical.
  • Understanding of what a Statement of Record means and the level of accuracy it requires.
  • Systems-thinking mindset focused on extensible systems rather than one-off pipelines.
  • Proficiency with Python, including Pandas, Polars, or Arrow, and SQL.
  • Experience with BigQuery or similar cloud data warehouses.
  • Experience with modern orchestration tools such as Airflow or Dagster.
  • Bonus: Prior experience as a financial or business analyst.
  • Bonus: Experience improving performance through techniques such as ADBC, multiprocessing, or vectorized operations.
