Description

Design and implement unified data orchestration patterns to replace legacy and fragmented scheduling.
Develop governance-as-code systems that automatically apply policy tags, row-level security, and access controls.
Help define technical platform capabilities such as data contracts, automated quality gating, observability, and cost visibility.
Support migration of workloads from legacy approaches to the modern data platform.
Partner with domain teams to understand their needs and design platform capabilities that enable their success.
Promote data mesh principles and dbt best practices across domain teams.
Help domain owners build and own their data products while the platform team ensures quality and compliance.
Contribute to architectural decisions and engineering practices around reliability, cost efficiency, and operational excellence.
Promote data platform engineering best practices, developer experience, and “Data as a Product” principles across engineering.

Requirements

5-7+ years of experience building data platforms or infrastructure for enterprise-scale workloads.
Strong expertise with dbt and SQL.
Understanding of dbt Mesh, including data modeling, testing, and documentation best practices.
Experience implementing production data orchestration with Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, or similar tools.
Experience with cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift.
Experience with query optimization, cost management, and security configurations in cloud data warehouses.
A platform mindset focused on golden paths, reusable abstractions, and developer experience.
Preferred: experience with metadata and catalog tools such as Atlan, Collibra, or DataHub.
Preferred: experience implementing data observability and quality monitoring tools such as Great Expectations, Monte Carlo, or Soda.
Preferred: experience with infrastructure as code and modern DevOps practices, including Terraform and Kubernetes.
