Description

  • Develop and enhance Drupal web applications through custom PHP development, configuration, and CMS administration.
  • Design, build, and launch new site features with a focus on performance, reliability, and availability.
  • Translate responsive design concepts into Drupal themes that deliver an intuitive user experience.
  • Create and implement user-facing components, including data visualization features.
  • Maintain and improve the platform through security patching, upgrades, troubleshooting, testing, and deployments.
  • Support content operations by documenting, archiving, and updating website content while maintaining Section 508 compliance.
  • Collaborate with developers and team members to implement solutions aligned with shared standards and goals.
  • Stay current on Drupal best practices and apply them to improve maintainability and development quality.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field with 4+ years of professional Drupal development experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience developing and maintaining Drupal-based web solutions in a LAMP environment.
  • Experience with custom PHP development.
  • Experience building responsive, accessible Drupal user interfaces using HTML/CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, and theming/templating.
  • Experience developing custom modules and new features in line with Drupal best practices.
  • Working knowledge of Section 508 accessibility standards and compliance.
  • Familiarity with automated testing tools, Agile development practices, and GitHub or similar code repositories.
  • Experience supporting projects for U.S. government or international development organizations preferred.
  • Strong JavaScript expertise, including work with and without frameworks such as jQuery.
  • Advanced Drupal site-building experience with modules such as Views, Blocks, CKEditor, Layout Builder, Media Library, Taxonomy, Paragraphs, Search API, and Webform.
